Project Portfolio Overview

CoDA Resource Publishing, the not-for-profit service arm of Codependents Anonymous (CoDA), needed a robust e-commerce solution to manage their online store and better serve the recovery community. CoRe publishes and sells literature in both English and Spanish, along with recovery medallions and event speaker recordings, all aimed at helping individuals on their journey to healthier relationships. The project required an advanced e-commerce platform that could accommodate various features to streamline their operations and enhance user experience.

For this project, we utilized WordPress along with The7 Theme and WooCommerce to create a seamless and responsive design that works across all devices. The homepage was enhanced with a dynamic slider, powered by Slider Revolution, to engage visitors immediately and direct them to important resources. WPBakery Page Builder enabled us to create custom page layouts that reflected CoRe’s branding while keeping the user experience smooth and intuitive.

One of the key challenges CoRe faced was the need for automated synchronization between WooCommerce. QuickBooks, and a shipping solution. After researching various options, we integrated 3PL to streamline the process, ensuring that products, customers, and orders were in sync. This has greatly improved the efficiency of their accounting processes, allowing CoRe to focus more on their mission.

Another standout feature we implemented was a bulk discount system, made possible by the WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing and Discounts plugin. This allowed CoRe to offer volume-based pricing on individual products and product groups, helping them incentivize bulk purchases and reach more people with their literature. Additionally, we customized a multi-step checkout process using the MultiStep Checkout Wizard plugin to simplify the user experience, ensuring it aligned with CoRe’s aesthetic and provided a smooth purchasing process for their customers.

We also addressed the client’s request for a streamlined way to handle invoices and packing lists by integrating WooCommerce Print Invoices and Packing Lists. This out-of-the-box solution provided an efficient way to generate professional documents without complicating their workflow.
