You may have quite a few questions if you have never had a CMS website built for you. The following is the process of our Joomla development with an actual client.

Note: Because this was a redesign and migration from another CMS (and the original website needed to remain available on the internet during the construction of the new website), we had the client purchase a .info domain and new hosting so that we could proceed.

1. Joomla was installed and the database was created.
2. A template was purchased online and we modified it to meet the client's needs.
3. The requested Joomla extensions were installed and modified, including a blog, photo gallery and contact form.
4. The menu layout and design was constructed (for top and side menu).
5. Articles and pages were created based on the content from the original website. The pictures were resized appropriately. YouTube videos were added onto website. A flash slideshow was added to the homepage.
6. Client approved the website and we switched the .com domain to the new hosting account.

The website was developed with the following features:

• Administrative login portal
• Ability to edit and post blog content
• Administrative access to photo gallery
• Administrative access to contact form design
• Complete control of articles and web pages
